Cell by Robin Cook

Cell by Robin Cook

I definitely didn’t see that end coming. I was completely surprised by the last couple pages. The book is a little slow to get started as there is a lot required to set up the story. Once it gets going, though, it’s fast-paced. It’s set around the time the Affordable Care Act was passed and uses the idea that technology (AI) is being tested to replace actual human doctors (nothing could go wrong with that, right?). The whole thing is possible which makes it a bit more fascinating and alarming. The writing is excellent. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys medical thrillers.
